In depth research further assisted the design development to explore the possibilities between a normal body carrying an abnormal feature garment- that represents the minority body shape, wearers are able to distort their garment optionally through the way they wish to wear it, result creates unexpected unique silhouettes after worn on body. The key concept of the collection: it is filled with deformity possibilities controlled by wearer, reflecting those who were naturally born impairment bodies can also be considered as a form of beauty within the fashion world and everyday society. ------------------------------------------------- Credits- Designer + Stylist: Jess Lin Photographer: Jeanette Tang Model: Emily @ M+P Models Make up Artist: Mutsumi Shibahara

Jumper detail: textile collaboration with Brogan Toyn, for

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Zoe is a London based textile designer, specialising in embroidered textiles for both Menswear and Womenswear. She flourishes in a creative environment and is constantly engaging in opportunities to expand and enhance an innate artistic flair. A strong attraction to decoration and an acute awareness of colour and aesthetics, stem from Zoe's intrinsic desire to enhance and develop a fun, uplifting and energetic embroidery style, drawing on aspects of global cultures both old and new. In particular, Zoe is extremely passionate about colour, constantly seeking inspiration to manipulate and embellish a wide range of vibrant and exuberant textile materials. Zoe's FMP collection, is inspired by 60s nostalgia and children's artwork, targeting the older customer. It aims to regenerate fabric surfaces that are beautiful and alluring, through her love of colour and abstract illustration style. As an individual, Zoe loves working with other designers, in order that her textiles can meet a wider audience: womenswear student Man Yim and Zoe, have recently collaborated for their FMP photoshoot. In addition, within her graduate collection Zoe has collaborated with Menswear student Brogan Toyn for ‘Jamaican me Crazy’. The collection, an eccentric yet sensational , SS2013 sportswear range, has been selected for the LCF Press Show. The textiles for ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ further reflect Zoe’s ability to cater for a wide customer base and showcase her unconventional style towards textile design. Reversing the constraints on gender, ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ is a rebellion against frequently used homophobic dancehall lyrics, inspired by the controversial musical style and promiscuity of Jamaica's Dancehall Queens. The textiles are tactile and enticing, with soft rainbow furs creeping along the edges of garments. In turn, tight crotches are emphasized by brilliantly printed and metallic lurex fabrics, with surges of complex mark making forming these prints. Bedazzling, sequined crop tops emphasize an outlandish street style, contradicting urban aesthetics. In addition, references to dancehall contemporaries in the hip hop genre, are portrayed through basketball shorts engulfed in colour and the sparkle of iridescent fabrics. Zoe’s sensitivity towards colour is portrayed here, through applying heat pressed patterns and disperse dyes to fabrics. This enables the juxtapositions of colour to be an important focus within the collection. Red or black are often familiarised with promiscuity, however, avoiding seedy connotations ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ adopts modest, pastel hues. These effectively distract from potentially erotic undertones, and encourage the energy of the dancehall for both onlooker and wearer. British born designer specialising in ready to wear Womenswear [Graduate Collection] The synthesis between reality and the mind fuelled initial concepts, delving into a realm of disordered anarchy subjected by mental affliction and internal condition. The concept of illusion and perspective further enhanced development employing the use of line and volume, generating a signature narrative with an abstract play on tailoring. A collection dominated by a minimalist approach, attention to detail and a muted palette of blue. White Difusion Neck piece

BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery

Geo Deco Collection For the 'Geo Deco Collection' I was inspired by light. There's a great energy as the sun shines in the day and when lights glow in the dark. I'm fascinated by light, and as it moves how it changes shapes, reflects and refracts. As the sun shines through coloured glass, its a delight as the hues of colours flood in its moving path. The sun mixes with water and oils to create spectrums of colour and It makes us feel happy, alive and awake... I use layers of different coloured light conducting perspex, mixed with mirrors, brass and in some pieces, LEDs. As the Jewellery moves, light catches the layers of material absorbing the lights energy, enhancing the colours as they conduct and glow brightly catching the eye. I work hard with the materials to get a great finish, to give it a polished, shiny, glassy effect and top it with brass to enrich and make it shine golden. The jewellery collection are individual pieces of art... They are structured and made to capture and entertain its audience. I like the pieces to have extra dimensions. The Jewellery is new and innovative, yet people connect as they see and find familiarities and memories within. pikkalili@live.co.uk GALLERIES MOCO LOCO Galleries http://mocoloco.com/fresh2/2012/10/15/gallery-beautiful-objects-exhibition-at-the-aram-gallery.php THE ARAM GALLERY http://www.thearamgallery.org/next/ XHIBIT 2011 http://www.boidus.co.uk/?p=2755 DESIGN CATWALK http://www.designcatwalk.com/lili-colley-enlighted-jewellery/ SEE/SAW/SEEN http://www.seesawseen.co.uk/ DeTnK http://www.detnk.com/node/12050 DESIGN WEEK http://www.designweek.co.uk/whats-on/demystifying-beautiful-objects/3035438.article http://mocoloco.com/galleries/gallery/beautiful-objects-exhibition-at-the-aram-gallery/ PRESS DRAPERSonline http://www.drapersonline.com/blogs/unzipped/lcfs-college-shop-not-a-pencil-sharpener-in-sight/5041799.article Londonist http://londonist.com/2012/10/today-london-college-of-fashion-shop-opens.php GLAMUK http://glam.co.uk/2012/09/its-back-to-college-time/ COMPANY Magazine http://www.company.co.uk/fashion/news/london-college-fashion-pop-up-shop LDN Fashion http://www.ldnfashion.com/london-fashion-news/london-college-of-fashions-pop-up-college-shop/ Timeout Magazine WGSN http://wgsn.tumblr.com/post/30987031794 Elle UK.com http://m.elleuk.com/fashion/shopping-blog/the-lcf-college-shop-returns Viora Magazine http://www.vioromagazine.it/photogallery/ Dew Magazine http://www.dewmagazine.com/issuu/06newworld.html http://elegiac-circus.tumblr.com/post/31019347447/lili-colley http://pinterest.com/thedefiant/magazine-volume-1-5-future-bioculture-aw12-ss13/ - Style Bubble http://www.stylebubble.co.uk/style_bubble/2012/07/shoes-n-things.html · Tatler.com Catwalk review with emphasis on VIP and Celebs http://www.tatler.com/bystander/events/2012/june/london-college-of-fashion-graduate-show#/7516/image/1 - Vogue.co.uk http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/2012/06/29/london-college-of-fashion-ba-show - Evening Standard http://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/fashion/all-the-trimmings-london-fashion-graduates-prove-they-have-a-bright-future-7898848.html?origin=internalSearch - Fashion156.com http://www.fashion156.com/collections/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-show-2012/ · Style Bubble Susie Lau’s influential fashion blog– Catwalk highlights: http://www.stylebubble.co.uk/style_bubble/2012/07/hackney-house-antics.html · Catwalk Queen Catwalk show review: http://www.catwalkqueen.tv/2012/07/london_college_6.html · Dash Magazine online Catwalk show review http://www.fashiondash.net/?p=3226 · Adorn Girl Fashion Blog: http://adorngirl.com/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-exhibition-2012/ Exhibition review http://adorngirl.com/robert-wun-fashion-designer/ spotlight on Robert Wun http://adorngirl.com/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-catwalk-2012/ Catwalk show review http://adorngirl.com/london-college-of-fashion-ba-2012-catwalk-backstage/ Backstage images · Luxsure French luxury magazine: http://www.luxsure.fr/2012/07/01/london-college-of-fashion-graduate-show-2012/ · Fashion Bite (Fashion blog) Catwalk show review: http://fashionbite.co.uk/2012/07/04/london-college-of-fashion-runway-show-class-of-2012/#more-11721 · Better Never Than Late (blog) Image Gallery of Backstage at Catwalk Show: http://bntl.co.uk/2012/07/03/backstage-lcf-press-show/ · Fashion Insight (Trade publication) Catwalk review http://fashioninsightfeatures.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/london-college-of-fashion-ba-season.html · EStyler Magazine Image gallery of all designers: http://estylermagazine.com/interviews · The Upcoming (fashion and news blog) Catwalk show review: http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/2012/07/02/london-college-of-fashion-ba-and-fda-show/ · Now Fashion Catwalk show image gallery: http://nowfashion.com/28-06-2012-london-college-of-fashion-2012-part-1-live-event-event-2256.html

www.roxannefarahmand.com ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Roxanne Farahmand is young and contemporary jewellery and accessory designer from London, who has graduated from London College of Fashion with a degree in BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery. Roxanne’s AW 13/14 collection was inspired by the future of prosthetics, the way that they are perceived in society and their appropriation of the human form. Always having a great interest in the human body’s form and its functions that are inextricably and permanently linked, she was interested with the replacement of the body form and function by a prosthetic. These orthopedics and prosthetic enhancements replace the functions of the human body, mimicking it, simulating but transforming the human body’s form for a new aesthetic. Roxanne has created accessories and jewellery that reinvent both the body and prosthetics, with mouth pieces that have been designed from its anatomical functions, to body straps that have evolved from a traditional working orthopedic harnesses. Like a traditional Art Nouveau jeweller, Roxanne’s appropriation of the natural and organic human forms were abstracted and developed into man-made constructions to be worn on the body, similar to how prosthetics appropriate the human form. All her metal work has been 3D designed and 3D printed and all accessories were handmade in the finest leathers and precious metals. BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation

Chaemin Hong BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Development This collection is for A/W 2013-14 and it consists of 10 different styles. The collection is inspired from animal’s bone. Concept Humankind is at the top of the food chain. The moment that human beings climb up to the top of that pyramid, they act as if they are completed unrelated to the food chain pyramid. Human beings observe the animals in the natural state on TV, and watch the animals’ survival instinct as if they are surprised. Bones of the animals, sources of protein, that were thrown away leave behind animal form. It is not like the animals disappeared: Instead, they were merely dismantled. When the bones re-combine to formulate a new form to create yet another creation, I wonder whether they could instill life into something new instead of merely serving as the remnant of the food chain. Combination of the dismantled bones. The concept that got started with the concept of new creations, sought to re-create the feel and shape by using diverse techniques. chaeminhong@gmail.com

FINAL COLLECTION ‘A Clash of Class’ Looking at the unattainable idea of ‘achieving classlessness’ this collection is an aesthetic mix of casual sportswear and lavish luxury. Research was inspired by the typically British obsession with class. Initially my focus was the world of horseracing; and I became fascinated with this world within a world where class barriers are united and interact with apparent ease. Focusing on working and upper class imagery I combined the simplicity of the working class jockey’s uniform and the ubiquitous ‘bomber jacket,’ with detailed hand crafted details and finishes. I like to reinvent classic garments that people will always recognize and will always want to wear. I became intrigued with encasing wide elastic, synonymous to ‘trackies’ with luxury fabrics such as mohair and organza. Elastic created interesting forms, which led to the development of interesting silhouettes. My work is always process led and I design through creating 3D textile samples. Through constantly creating samples, interesting ways to manipulate fabric become apparent, which I then use as a basis for all my design work. I am focused on the finish of garments, and constant 3D manipulations help to realise the final idea of detail and finish. In this collection I have experimented with various juxtapositions of colour, silhouette and surface textile. Subtle shades of pink and white are highlighted with bright brazen colours of red, yellow and turquoise, derived from the jockeys’ silks. These create eye-catching accents throughout the collection. Simple graphic shapes become intricate details through using techniques of laser cutting and embroidery. Strategic slits in leather form segments of a diamond, which are then folded back and finished uniquely by hand. This created an interesting lacey but geometrically inspired look. Linked to this I used circular embroidered fabric fused to organza, cut in a variety of shapes. I achieved a delicate feminine textile that subtly repeated the idea of using simple shapes. Beautiful zips then created details in the delicate textiles, and reinforce the casual but opulent aesthetic. MA Fashion and the Environment

Bianca TR is : A new concept of a boutique gallery presenting a collection in favor of slow consumption. It develops the idea of a new environment, where information and advice on sustainable fashion are provided. In this concept, the use of co design and relational aesthetics is established as a way to communicate ideas, skills and knowledge and educate through making. Through participatory design/ co-design experiences, the customer have the opportunity to actively participate to the design process and will be immerse in the designer’s inspiration. A particular relationship between the designer, the Customer and the product is built in order to better understand consumer’s wants and needs and develop personal attachment to the product. My inspiration comes from my great grandmother Madeleine Luka’s painting. She was an amazing painter, illustrator and poet. Naïve, she seemed unable to conceive evil and celebrates nature candidly through her paintings. There is always a sense of kinky seduction, a style that reflects vulnerability and desire. Discovering the wealth of her paintings, I started the process aanalyzing the paintings and created a repertoire of shapes that fed my design research. With a good range of different collars, sleeves, tops and skirts, ten woman were asked to play with those elements. Depending on how they thought, felt, and reasoned, they selected different alternatives. Each of them created several combinations they would like to wear or that they found visually attractive. I made a selection myself of the final designs which would be the main basics of my collection. The central idea of this concept is to get the Customer entirely immersed in the process. To do so, she would be invited to walk into a “Boutique Gallery” to discover the designer’s inspiration and to find out what defines herself in terms of shapes, colors and aesthetics.
