BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear

For Showroom details and garment requests please contact: Squidsthlm Daniela Sylvan Tellander Grev Turegatan 35, 114 38 Stockholm, Sweden phone: 070-316 14 67 •Statement A London College of Fashion Womenswear Design graduate, currently pursuing a successful career in Fashion Design. Specific interest in pattern cutting, sewing and tailored clothing. Highly motivated individual with an eye for detail and expertise in crochet, knitwear, print and surface embellishments as well as good skills in CAD programs such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. An energetic individual with professional team leadership skills looking for challenging, creative graduate design opportunity from July 2012 •Antidote As a future fashion designer, global issues are very important to me and this is reflected in my work. Fashion has always played an important role in war and is constantly used in propaganda and advertisements. In today’s society we are under a constant and intense media bombardment about what is “accepted” and capitalism has turned fashion into a tool for mass production and fast consumption. Slowing down the process, I want to explore a more human alternative and concentrate on the essence of fashion which, for me, is fabrics, craft, and details. This minimal Autumn/Winter collection explores mobility within comfortable tailored clothes. I was inspired by a range of German Second World War uniforms that inspired the design and where the female becomes in a constant touch with masculine shapes. I also was inspired by Space Age images which led me to experiment and develop my own futuristic feel to the mood and fabrics where I experimented with using special machinery such as Tanaka. www.hellysaz.com www.facebook.com/hellysaz •Education 2009- Present BA Fashion Design & Technology Womens Wear The London College of Fashion, London Projects • Final Major Collection • Final Major Proposal • Craft and Technology exploring personal identity • Fashion and Sustainability • Tailoring Team Work • Denim and Jersey • The White Shirt 2007-2008 Diploma in Fashion Folio Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design, London 2006-2007 Diploma in Foundation Art and Design Cumbria Institute of the Arts, Carlisle, UK 2004-2006 HND Graphic Design Cumbria Institute of the Arts, Carlisle, UK • Design Experience 2011 May - September Tiger of Sweden Stockholm Design Assistance www.tigerofsweden.se 2010 June - October Charles Anastase London PA Assistance 2010 February - April Rui Leornades London Assistance http://www.ruileonardes.com/ • Employment 2008-2009 August - September The Home of Alfred Dunhill London Fashion Consultant 2008 June -September Massimo Dutti Knightsbridge Head Cashier/Supervisor •Achievements Awarded Sponsorship with zip supplier Albert Zip http://www.albertzips.com.tr/ British Fashion Council short list graduate Paper Print Editorial shoot Portfolio review http://www.britishfashioncouncil.com/ Shortlisted Nina De York Fashion Illustration Award 2012 LCF 2012 Press Runway Show Candidate Cutler and Gross Student Finalist in Cutler and Gross Launching Project 0734 cutlerandgross.com Not Just A Label - BLACK SHEEP Becoming a Black Sheep in Not Just A Label, announced as one of the most promising and visionary designers of the moment •Skills Adobe Creative: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign 2D to 3D realisation Indebt Researching & Referencing Drawing & Technical Drawings (hand rendered) Illustrations (Multi-Media) Illustrations (Photoshop) Collaging Technical drawings (CAD) Silk Screen Printing Digital Printing Knitting (Hand) Crotchet Weaving Embroidery Pattern Cutting (Flat & Stand Methods) Drafting patterns Toiling Tailoring Manufacture domestic and industry machinery Manufacture, specialising in Jersey Specialised Machinery: Tanaka Graphic Design Trend Predictions Styling Texture specialisation Hairdressing Makeup Image retouching Art Direction Language; BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

copyright © 2013 Huma Hayirli "Drag Me Out"--------------------- I am a surface textile for fashion designer specialising in print with an interest in digital print. I have a passion for colour and I am extremely fascinated in creating textiles through combining print techniques with digital prints. ‘Drag me out’ is a luxury ready to wear spring/summer 2014 womenswear collection. The collection explores the story behind Drag queens and looks in-depth at the transformation from male to female. Trying to reflect this idea through contradictory fabrics, texture, colours and through the use of print. The inspiration originates from researching into the props that drag queens use and it is the wigs, eyelashes, make up and clothing that make them look totally different from their original selves. The use of colour was a major way of expressing my research and reflecting the quirkiness, colourful, exciting and bold personality of drag queens within this collection. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Copyright © 2013 Sarah Mazza https://twitter.com/sarahmazzaknit http://www.notjustalabel.com/sarah_mazza http://www.utelier.com/profiles/379 ___Summary___ A Spring/Summer collection for 2014 for high end womens wear market, exploring the idea of body tattoos being an object of art and its importance relative to different religious beliefs, tribal ceremonies and how this has a strong relation to modern society and its subcultures. ___More information on the concept___ The tattoo world is vast with much information about its culture and this has influenced many artists of our present days. As a way of inspiring this collection, various tattoo design ideas have been explored while looking at the different cultures. Philippine Island tattoos seem to be part of the biggest focuses relating to knit design itself. Some of the trading products originated from this country were fine fabrics made by women with a variety of materials. Interestingly the same patterns were also found on the Philippine women’s tattooed hands. These tattoos as the fine fabrics details must have been rather delicate and this has been reflected into the collection. The overall idea of this project is to bring to light and to show the tattoo like pattern by transposing the concept into knitted fabric. To create this concept into the shape and silhouette of the garments it is was crucial to keep it fairly simple as the texture will bring most of the slick and elegant look . Tight fitting clothing is to resemble the way the tattoo is being worn on the body (almost like a second skin effect). Looking at some of the Philippine people we can identify a recurring theme of curved lines near the shoulders where it creates a unique effect of clothing seams However taking into account the body tattoo placements there was a lot of playing round with arm holes in the collection garments which relates to tattoo sleeve placements. Among the designs, the knit is see-through to show the skin beneath, ____About Sarah____ Sarah Mazza is a French designer based in Luton. From a young Sarah always wanted to do something creative. Having studied Textiles at A-Level, her passion for the fashion industry and knitwear in particular was born. Noticing a talent in her, her tutor taught her to knit outside of class and from then on she was hooked, taking every possible chance to practice and improve in her spare time. After gaining a place on the prestigious course at LCF, where she explored multiple textile techniques including embroidery and print, she decided to focus purely on her first passion. She love the way in which she can create her own fabric, shape and make it as individual as it can be. She has always liked using unusual materials and prefer to challenge herself by staying away from conventional wool. Sarah’s knit includes feminine and elegant hand crafted knit that is hand dyed and hand stitched together. Sarah was awarded the Knitwear Award on Fashion156.com in Graduate Showcase Week for BA13 Press Show. ___________________Languages________________ Fluent in French and English _______________PRESS_______________ Artical about the struggle international designer faces in London http://www.notjustalabel.com/editorial/international_designers_in_london http://socatchy.net/the-crazy-knit-lady-sarah-mazza/ Featured on Home Page of NOT JUST A LABEL , http://www.notjustalabel.com http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/spring-summer-2014/ready-to-wear/london-college-of-fashion-ba/full-length-photos/gallery/1004248 http://blogs.arts.ac.uk/fashion/2013/09/09/a-glittering-gala-for-the-future-of-fashion/ http://blogs.arts.ac.uk/fashion/2013/07/29/class-of-2013-sarah-mazza/ http://www.thestylelane.com/#/lcf13-runway-show/4577776766 http://www.mydaily.co.uk/2013/07/02/london-college-of-fashion-ba-show-2013_n_3532173.html http://www.fashion156.com/daily-blog/f156-graduate-showcase-week-sarah-mazza/ http://www.fashion156.com/daily-blog/f156-graduate-showcase-week-awards/ http://blogs.arts.ac.uk/fashion/2013/07/19/fashion156-com-report-on-graduate-season-2013/ http://www.logos.info/en/news/sarah-mazza/ http://www.ameliasmagazine.com/fashion/london-college-of-fashion-ba-hons-graduate-catwalk-show-2013-review/2013/07/22/ http://www.apimages.com/metadata/Index/Britain-London-College-of-Fashion-BA-Show/84cceb40738741349519182b8e7d0dcf/28/0 http://www.ohdearism.com/2013/04/13/style-sarah-mazza-lcf-ba-collection/ http://janemarlestylist.tumblr.com/post/51740727194/http-www-joomag-com-magazine-frow-magazine-issue http://www.joomag.com/magazine/frow-magazine-issue-1-2013/0389006001368895868 http://www.flickr.com/photos/eliz_pica/8754598523/in/photostream/ http://issuu.com/london_college_of_fashion/docs/sdt-annual-2013 http://ashleighbrowntextiledesign.tumblr.com/search/sarah+mazza http://www.fibre2fashion.com/news/fashion-educational-institute-news/newsdetails.aspx?news_id=148962 http://newfashions956.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/sarah-mazza-ba-hons-fashion-design.html http://laspola.com/news.asp?id_news=4393&lingua=ITA Featured on Home Page of NOT JUST A LABEL , http://www.notjustalabel.com http://www.maglifico.com/sarah_mazza http://www.hellomagazine.com/celebrities/2014010716397/vogue-productions-strike-a-pose/ _________________CREDIT___________________ ___BFC 2013 ___ Sarah Mazza, Photographer, James Rees www.jamesrees.co.uk Creative Direction, Rob Phillips Beauty, Pace Chen, Melissa Wong Nail Art, Lauren Michelle Pires Model, Sarah Dick at Models 1 http://www.models1.co.uk/ ___LOOK BOOK Shoot___ sarah mazza photographer, Josh Chow Hair and MakeUp, Naoko Mabuchi Model, Ayesha Tan-Jones ___BEAUTY EDITORIAL___ Photography, Polin Kuprine Styling, Jane Marle Hair and Makeup, Louise Linder

The Dissectors - High Tech Fabrication and Classical Construction Set within an aesthetic reminiscent of smocks, scrubs and aprons a central aspect of this collection is the exploration of silhouette and volume. While the nature of this collection lies in its underlying purity, there is a complexity within the minimal aesthetics and the soberness that is generated by the interaction of fabrication and cut, handwork and technology, hybridisation and utilitarianism.Contact:➤ www.annabezgubenko.com➤ Linkedin➤ Facebooklookbook: photography: Benjamin Mallek | model: Dawid, Established runway: LCF MA Menswear Show, December 2013 shoot: photography: Naa Teki Lebar | model: Samuel Oxford Nielsen

BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery

Born in Israel, Liron Kliger is a London based jewellery designer who graduated a BA (HON) in Jewellery Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion. Liron developed a passion for jewellery design whilst completing a foundation in fashion design course at West London College, Liron developed a love for raw materials and desire to create unique pieces encompassing the form and essence of the material used. The primary influence on Liron’s work (apart from the raw materials) evolved from years spent living and travelling in cosmopolitan cities including Barcelona, Paris, Milan and Tel Aviv. Liron was exposed cultural idiosyncrasies which in turn influenced the way in which she combines / uses materials and their subsequent adaptation to her needs. Liron’s latest project developed from a fascination with snakeskin and infatuation with catwalk pieces; motivating her to create her own interpretation via snakeskin inspired bangles. JEEGUI"FRAGMENT" A 14/15 autumn/winter season collection: investigating the concept that is ‘FRAGMENT’, representing an incomplete human development and fragmented memories of human history, through different texture, fabric and diagonal pattern cutting. ‘FRAGMENT’ in futuristic modern society is a representation of seeking traditional and primitive authenticity within humanity that we lost, against the lifestyles of modern society, which is lacking freedom, sameness or uniformity by large-scale manufacturing. In this collection, key fabrics are fur against showing with metallic silver leather and high tech bonded fabric. Basically, fur symbolizes the human authenticity from primitive and folk imagery, so that the fur in the collection is combined and crafted with futuristic fabric. It is a strong hybrid type of collection. Guyhyun is a menswear designer, who studied at London College of Fashion BA Menswear.
