Hi! My name is Natassa and I'm mainly inspired by girls, forgotten teen idols and glitter markers. I'm especially interested in creative direction and styling and making my fashion girl drawings act as parts of a bigger narrative. GIRL.IS.A.GUN is the title of a long-term project, that aims to visualize the girl culture of the millennial generation. GIRL.IS.A.GUN has a soul on its own and wants to be a publication that illustrates and discusses the girls of today as they are; their obsessions, their style influences, their sexuality as well as the idea of feminism in their lives. www.jessicahearnshaw.com Jessica Hearnshaw is an Accessories Designer based in London who's focus is around the design and craftsmanship of high quality conceptual leather goods. This collectionâs focus is on accessories that have a integral relationship to what they contain. That are as fascinating to unwrap, as a gift is to open. Inspired specifically by traditional japanese packaging which has a strong minimalist aesthetic. A key notion of japanese packaging is that the gift and the act of unwrapping the gift, is just as important as what is inside. This art form would wrap a given object in whatever materials lay at hand. The outcome was often not only practical for storage and transporting the object but also produced a simple beautiful shape free of all excess and extravagance ----------------------------------------------- Credits: Images 1 - 5: Art Director: Benjamin Thapa, Photographer: Giulia Zucchetti, Model: Max @ Profile, Stylist: Irene Manicone, Makeup: Nichola Mai Images 6 - 9: Art Direction & Photographer: Benjamin Thapa Image 10 - 11: Photography: Anthony John Sayer Creative Director: Rob Phillips Beauty: Pace Chen Model: Rosemary Banks
BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring
I am a Bespoke Tailoring student who specialises in creative pattern cutting, traditional bespoke tailoring hand crafted methods and menswear design. I like to use the craft and precision of bespoke tailoring to aid forward thinking fashion design. For the Diversity Now! 2014 competition I designed for a double identity. By day my model is a professional businessperson forced to conform to society by wearing an off the peg standard suit. However by night his true identity is exposed. Mikey is a well-known figure within an East London, transgender subculture in which he explores gender stereotypes through fashion. He transforms himself into an ever-changing piece of art through styling, customizing clothing and makeup. His overall look is strong, fearless and playful. My aim was to design the suit he would wear to work should society not be so limiting with their views. As a student of Bespoke Tailoring I identified with this concept as the designing of menswear tailoring can be restricting both in the classroom and in industry. For Mikey I aimed to create a playful, experimental look that explored both sides of his personality. I aimed to prove that making more experimental, fun pieces can still be masculine and traditional, constructed solely of bespoke tailored methods. My industry experience: -Design and tailoring assistant at Sir Tom Baker (soho,) Focussing on design for S/S 2015 show -Intern at Ozwald Boateng (Savile Row,) working on a number of collaborative projects with brands including Nike, Apple and Vibram. - Intern at Orschel Read (London) Pattern cutting internship.

Drawn to the luxury feel of these references, Faye also questions the attraction they have. Ultimately, this project is not about judging whether 'the glamour of excess' is something to be celebrated or frowned upon. It is about awareness, knowing where our desires come from. Knowing the difference between what we need and what we want, but also indulging in the pleasure luxury affords us. Faye's graduate collection is a show of sophisticated luxury and modern comfort and this is reflected in the materials and finishings that are used.

THE SOUND OF HOMELESS(NESS) AW 12/13 COLLECTION OF THE YEAR: MENSWEAR 2012 Introduction_ THE SOUND OF HOMELESS(NESS) is Tina Elisabeth Reiterâs final collection of the Masterâs Degree Fashion Design & Technology: menswear course at London College of Fashion. After the Austrian born and raised fashion designer showed her post-graduate Diploma collection (Dipl.) in the international show at London Graduate Fashion Week 2010, Tina was invited to join the course and awarded the prestigious Harold Tillman scholarship. Participating with THE SOUND OF HOMELESS(NESS) at MA_12 exhibition & POEMTRY catwalk show at the V&A, she is nominated for the menswear collection of the year award, which she finally received. Inspired by the feeling of homelessness, its contemporary meaning of belonging-to and the seeking of your roots in our unpredictable globalised world. The collection has taken the heritage of the Austrian folk costume including its tradition and fused it with aesthetics of modern menswear. Extracting traditional techniques and silhouettes fitting it into a contemporary context is her unique way of staying true to your own roots. Nourished by the wish of an ideal world which is forever connected with the myth of the alps, the kitschy homeland movies of the Austrian postwar years and the world famous musical âThe Sound of Musicâ. do-re-mi..
