BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring

" Box of common nails" is a graduation collection of bespoke tailored garments. The concept of the collection is revealing and concealing the elements of a traditional handcrafted jacket at the same time. It is a subtle romantic way of deconstruction without showing too many raw edges or underpinnings. The entire collection is fashioned in very delicate loomstate wools, silks and cotton voiles. Main aesthetic aim of the collection is to suggest garment construction rather then expose it.

London based jewellery designer Hue Tawn Chan graduated from London College of Fashion (2013) with degree in BA (Hons) in Fashion Jewellery. FMP Final collection-'Five dolls' Ring Front

BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery

Jewellery designer Qian Yang graduated from London College of Fashion (2014) with degree in BA (Hons) in Fashion Jewellery. The concept of my Final collection was about 'Repair'. And I used second hand porcelains either already broken or I cut the figures, then repair them back into jewellery. This idea mainly inspirited from Japanese gold repair 'Kintsugi', for repair broken ceramics. For this jewellery collection, each chosen porcelain repaired with 24ct gold plated metal. It's a collection full of fun and I added a new meaning and extra preciousness to these ceramics pieces. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear

This project seeks to design a collection that pays homage to diamond miners. It takes inspiration from both historical and contemporary examples of dress worn by this worker. This work refers to the worker and is analyzed in three ways, which relate to the terms ‘Difficulty’, ‘Dirt’ and ‘Danger’. It is all about strong woman, grunge style and street looks, as models appeared in slouchy, denim fabric garments, including deconstructive jackets, functional jumpsuits and shift dress. These works pursue comfortable, protective, and functional elements. In Loving Memory: Mercedes (detail)

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Development

In Loving Memory is a unique vision of pain and grief and the process of overcoming it. Taking inspiration from the religious rites of the Holy Week in Spain and the Victorian tradition of mourning dress code, the collection is a 21st century avant-garde interpretation of the feminine. Saul Robayna has developed an analytical and critical eye to the market offer as well as the costumer's needs and desires from his experience working for luxury retailers, a knowledge that is clearly reflected throughout his work. With a core on design, craftsmanship, quality and an extraordinary consideration for detail and texture, Saul Robayna seeks to empower women through classic yet sexy creations as well as more experimental designs. On the verge

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Development

Creative and highly committed student aiming to broaden my knowledge of the luxury footwear industry, both in design and development. FINAL COLLECTION Taking Pedro Almodóvar’s work as the main inspiration, the following lines from his film ‘Kika’ (1993) outline the collection just as neatly as the perfect eyeliner: “The eyelash widens the eye, gives depth, expression, shape. A girl with almond-shaped eyes is better than one with spaniel eyes. Even the most banal woman looks intelligent, looks sparkling with lashes. Eyelashes are great. I’m all for them, girls!” My final collection represents a journey from basic to luxury, nine simple vibrant red suede shoes inspired by quotidian actions such as the make-up routine women do everyday, not forgetting the gloss of nail polish symbolised in the deep red patent leather and the strong black colour proper of eyebrows and eyelashes. LOGO PAGE

BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Development

My work fuses strong masculine style with soft, luxurious construction. Rich fabrics, textured trims and a softer silhouette make up a collection of tailored coat, blazers, trouser, shirts and accessories. A dark colour palette mixed with bright orange contrasts, charcoal greys and deep blacks. Textural and sophisticated fabrics including rich cashmere, crisp cotton twill and brushed flannel. A well educated and sophisticated individual who thrives in the creative industry, with an extensive range of both creative and academic skills in fashion and extra curricular activities. A creative mind and keen eye for detail, with an expressive and altruistic approach to team based activities, as-well as strong leadership and decision-making skills. An uninhibited vocal spirit and pro-active and efficient approach to work. An individual with clear set goals and strong ambitions.
