The concept produces inevitable fresh, feminine designs supported by a sustainable, unique selling point in footwear fashion. ................................................................................................ Final major project - The witch inside me

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Development

Final major project - The witch inside me The concept for this collection is for every women to search for and find the witch inside themselves. We all wish we could have magic powers, the concept questions how and for what purpose we would use them for. Taking into account women’s real opinions and feelings is important for the design process. The purpose of the collection is to reveal the dark and good side in every women. The intent is to make them dream, allow them to evade reality and remind them that they are strong and invincible. MY VISION OF DESIGN My designs tell a story, I want people to think beyond the look of the shoes. They should be able to understand my thinking process to create a deeper relationship between them and my designs. Contact: geraldine.delemme@gmail.com

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear

Carl Jan Cruz To do something pure and honest ; this was the starting point of Carl Jan Cruz , my visual autobiography. An aesthetic that I never choose to be but bits and pieces of influences that propelled me to where I am now visually. I wanted to escape from a "fashion" point of view but instead ground myself with all these emotions, favourites (garments), and memories that meant a lot to me. In hindsight this was that identity I always questioned to be. Some things I can never escape and most of this things made me who I am now. By taking these old childhood photographs, remaking favourite garments, and collaging favourite imageries. Pragmatically developed a dialogue between my past and present. Questioning why these pieces and imagery remained constant in my life. Cutting and pasting, layering, even obliterating images progressed my design development. It is a whole concept of "push and pull". Shifting, repeating, and even omitting processes were essential. Pre-washing denim before construction, "tailoring" cotton jersey's and denims, reproduction of grain prints , concealing prints , bounding odd fabrics (washed and unwashed ). As every part of this collection from start to end stayed true to who I am and just following processes that I would usually do on a daily basis .
