BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Louise Grtzcuk is a 2010 graduate of London College of Fashion gaining a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design Technology Surface Textiles. Louise’s final collection was inspired by lucid dreaming and work of surreal artists such as Jacek Yerka and Karen Preston. Wanting to create a collection of garments that capture the world of dreams seen by a conscious person, Louise uses boning to manipulate fabric and construct details that create mutually exclusive firm and fluid structures of garments. Rich colour palette has been influenced by interior of a dream-like cathedral from Paris. During her studies Louise gained valuable experience at Mirjam Rouden Print Studio specializing in hand painted textiles. As well as print, she is interested in embellishment and embroidery in womenswear. Louise is currently advancing methods learnt during her studies. She aims to gain more experience working with designers of similar interests within the fashion industry and would like to work for a womenswear brand or a luxury house.

AW/13 - Look 1: Silk quilted bomber jacket with digital print silk skirt

Holley Potts BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear http://showtime.arts.ac.uk/HolleyPotts WEBSITE: www.holleypotts.com holley.potts@hotmail.co.uk As a designer, I feel that most art forms should be integrated with practicality and this should also apply to fashion. Researching how chemical substances were originally used medicinally, but now widely taken for recreational use, I looked at today’s underground music scene. Taking inspiration ranging from the early Opium Dens. The vivid hues of the high and the dark greys of the lows gave me a colour distortion which is reflected in my silk digital prints. ± AW/13 COLLECTION LOOKBOOK PHOTOGRAPHY - Tamzin Haughton HAIR & MAKEUP - Marie Bruce MODEL - Rachel Christianos STYLIST - Rita Shi ± AW/13 COLLECTION LINE UP PHOTOGRAPHY - Hanna Hillier HAIR & MAKEUP - Amber Pitkin MODEL - Amber Pitkin ± INTERNING Richard Nicoll May 2012 - July 2012 Giles Deacon November 2011 - March 2012 Selfridges: Marketing Department July 2007 - August 2007 ± ACHIEVEMENTS The Shoreditch Fashion Show 2013 Photography by Vytautas Dranginis ± FEATURED Interview - http://thesavvydresser.wordpress.com/interview/

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Shireeka Devlin is an Irish womenswear and textiles designer based in London. She has recently graduated in BA (Hons) Degree in Surface Textiles for Fashion at London College of Fashion. She likes to create extremely wild and fun pieces that are wearable yet showstopping. She loves to use as much colour and print in her work as possible. Her silhouettes are inspired by menswear contrasted with really playful, feminine loud colours and insane prints inspired by everything in her daily life even if it’s something simple such as a poster of a monkey. Her work is all about the print and she believes in lots hand rendering and primary research mixed with CAD to make her artwork and patterns more personal and interesting. Her latest collection ‘Trippin' Over My Dreams’, explores and translates the view ‘Things are not always what they seem’, in a light – hearted and playful way. The collection is based on optical illusion art. Influenced by a variety of optical illusion techniques and subtle 80’s fashion, the collection is fun yet sophisticated.
