BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

Blog: http://charleybishop.com About: "with love, Undine" With love, Undine; Charley Bishops degree collection embraces the spirit of contradiction exploring the story of Undine, the 18th century inspirational water spirit. A tragic romantic story representing a strong endearing woman. The collection supports sustainability and embraces innovation through the use of Salmon Leather; a bi product which is strong, soft to touch and has the element of surprise. This unique fabric is laser cut with an intricate wave detail, adding a further dimension to the texture and married alongside delicate Chantilly laces creates intricate, delicate pieces with a difference. Please contact me if you would like to feature any of my pieces in your work/publications or if you have any queries.

Koroyov illustration

BA (Hons) Costume for Performance

Final Major Project:- A modern interpretation of Mikhail Bulgakov’s wildly imaginative satire of the 1930s, in which the Devil pays a visit to rigidly atheistic Soviet Moscow. As principal members of the Devil’s entourage, Korovyov; the 7ft ‘checkered character’, and Behemoth; an enormous gun-wielding, vodka-drinking black cat, are a source of both havoc and humour. This is a character-centred approach to design which merges the novel’s period context with elements of contemporary Russian culture.

Dough Man, 'Coraline', Final Project

BA (Hons) Make-up and Prosthetics for Performance

‘Dough man’ Inspired by the character 'the Other Father' from the novel 'Coraline', my final piece is based on the idea of how we perceive our facial appearances. It features elements of surrealism and the alien and is a play on the functions of our sensory apparatus. The character is blind, and instead he uses his hearing to ‘find his way around’. Trained in make-up and hair for performance, I am passionate about making what I see in my imagination believable to viewers.

Chaemin. 2014. Leather layered Upper with 3D Printing

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design & Development

Chaemin Hong BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Development This collection is for A/W 2013-14 and it consists of 10 different styles. The collection is inspired from animal’s bone. Concept Humankind is at the top of the food chain. The moment that human beings climb up to the top of that pyramid, they act as if they are completed unrelated to the food chain pyramid. Human beings observe the animals in the natural state on TV, and watch the animals’ survival instinct as if they are surprised. Bones of the animals, sources of protein, that were thrown away leave behind animal form. It is not like the animals disappeared: Instead, they were merely dismantled. When the bones re-combine to formulate a new form to create yet another creation, I wonder whether they could instill life into something new instead of merely serving as the remnant of the food chain. Combination of the dismantled bones. The concept that got started with the concept of new creations, sought to re-create the feel and shape by using diverse techniques. chaeminhong@gmail.com

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear

Having bold and graphic design aesthetic, this collection aims to visually reflect the idea of taking things out of their originally sensitive and controversial contexts in order to create new ideas. By providing visuals of The Third Reich uniforms, graphic design and German Folk clothing, the collection tries to propose a concept, in which people look at things without automatically trying to connect them to their primarily negative connotations, but instead look at their visual impact. | E D U C A T I O N | BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear London College of Fashion 2012-2013 FdA Fashion Design Technology: Designer Pattern Cutter London College of Fashion 2010-2012 BTEC National Diploma: Art & Design (Fashion & Clothing) Lewisham College 2008-2010 | W O R K E X P E R I E N C E | Design & pattern cutting assistant tutor Design & Textiles Academy, Brady Arts Centre April 2013 - present Design & pattern cutting assistant tutor Design & Textiles Academy in association with Burberry, Brady Arts Centre August 2012 Studio intern Maria Grachvogel August - September 2011 Studio Intern Derek Lawlor October - November 2009 | E X T R A | Showed at London Alternative Fashion Week 2009 & 2010 Finalist at Fashion Awareness Direct design competition 2009 Bronze & Gold Arts Awards 2008-2009 | C O N T A C T | Email: eglebujauskaite@gmail.com Website coming soon | C R E D I T S | British Fashion Council: Photography, James Rees Creative Direction, Rob Phillips Beauty, Pace Chen Nail Art, Lauren Michelle Pires Model, Alina at Select Loobook: Photography, Sara Magdi Bayoumi Hair & Make Up, Suze Smethurst Model, Elspeth at MOT Models The Lab Magazine online: Photography, Anya Holdstock Styling, Olimpia Liberti Hair & Make up, Adele Sanderson Model, Estella at Next

YoonHee Choi is a contemporary brand that creates experimental, unique and sculptural shoes that present glamorous chic footwear for women. It promotes exceptional, luxurious and qualitative images, which differentiate YoonHee Choi from existing contemporary brands. The brand does not aim for commercial merchandise and monetary profit, however it aims to deliver YoonHee Choi’s challenging and experimental identity to customers who love to cultivate their beauty. YoonHee Choi London first collection, ‘Moment’ is selected as the concept because this shapeless concept would not limit the potential artistic expression in only physical manners therefore its vast mood was suitable for designers experimental and creative efforts on the design. Concept of ‘Moment’, YoonHee Choi wanted to visualize the fact that the memories are belong to an individual that provide narratives about the moment so that the designer have created a sort of consensus that would reflect the individual, by using same last. Signature pieces are acrylic sheet and crystal beads both created by sophisticated handcraft. The laser cut acrylic sheet used in the form as part of an upper is the highlight of ‘Moment’ collection. BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design & Development

SeungMi Kim BA(Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design & Development SeungMi Kim expects to become a creative and modern brand that will represent contemporary shoes. Mainly, it is inspired by a variety of art theories, issues or arts work that is reinterpreted in a modern way. The value of the brand will be enhanced through combing work with special skills and each design has a significant meaning. “Changes in form, illusion and technology” This main concept of the A/W 2013-14 is ‘Cubism’ which was inspired by cubism painting and sculpture. It is based on cubism theory; the main objective is to reproduce the surface through three-dimensional view and the basic perspective rule is abandoned and shows the same object in different sides. These were combined with my design, which resulted in a modern conceptual and fashionable shoe. I used 3D printing, which was hidden rather than showing on the outside to give change to the shape of the shoe. To create an optical illusion a point colour was used. On the whole, the collection shows dramatic elements of materials, colour and design. - Contact detail - sui.seungmikim@gmail.com 07738333109

BA (Hons) Cordwainers Accessories: Product Design & Development

Jessica Hearnshaw is an Accessories Designer based in London who's focus is around the design and craftsmanship of high quality conceptual leather goods. This collection’s focus is on accessories that have a integral relationship to what they contain. That are as fascinating to unwrap, as a gift is to open. Inspired specifically by traditional japanese packaging which has a strong minimalist aesthetic. A key notion of japanese packaging is that the gift and the act of unwrapping the gift, is just as important as what is inside. This art form would wrap a given object in whatever materials lay at hand. The outcome was often not only practical for storage and transporting the object but also produced a simple beautiful shape free of all excess and extravagance ----------------------------------------------- Credits: Images 1 - 5: Art Director: Benjamin Thapa, Photographer: Giulia Zucchetti, Model: Max @ Profile, Stylist: Irene Manicone, Makeup: Nichola Mai Images 6 - 9: Art Direction & Photographer: Benjamin Thapa Image 10 - 11: Photography: Anthony John Sayer Creative Director: Rob Phillips Beauty: Pace Chen Model: Rosemary Banks

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Olivia Howick is a Surface Textiles for Fashion student specializing in embroidery and embellishment, with a passion for transforming unexpected materials into luxurious fashion embellishment. Her graduate collection: ‘Medicate Me’ is a high-end ready to wear womenswear collection, that demonstrates the collision of contemporary and traditional approaches to medicine, through the exploration of Native American culture and advances in scientific medicine. The collection draws upon a textile tradition, and transforms it to demonstrate a clinical aesthetic which will appeal to the contemporary consumer. Exploration of new materials, in particular the use of PVC, has allowed for highly creative and innovative textile development through embroidery processes, that reflect on traditional craftsmanship, whilst evoking a clinical and medicinal aesthetic. Transforming materials is becoming an increasingly important aspect of Olivia’s work. This collection saw PVC hose pipes cut, dyed and stitched to become PVC beadwork. Combining this with satin stitch work and screen printed fabric, Olivia likes to work with both traditional aspects to textile design as well more unconventional material. Integral to Olivia’s practice is her illustration and drawing. Specializing in highly detailed hand rendered work, her illustration style is graphic, yet rich in textile inspired texture and detail. Olivia was selected as a finalist for the Nina de Yorke fashion illustration prize, and has also been shortlisted to compete to illustrate for the Maria Luisa website. Olivia has been selected for the LCF Press Exhibition 2013 and will be exhibiting a sculptural textile piece which demonstrates the concepts surrounding her Final Collection, as well as showcasing new textile development. BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

Fashion Designer Lingerie Designer Accomplished at creative design and pattern cutting skills who believes in lingerie is all about self-expression which can combine both functional and sexuality and makes the best of woman’s looks, whilst controlling the body. My work is all about communicative power of contour with strong philosophy, to consider the flow around the body to demonstrate 'innovation' with sculptural paneling and simplified lines. My work is also inspired by oriental mood (both traditional culture and strong color palette) which combined extreme femininity and glamour with power to accentuate the beauty of the female body. The inspiration of my collection comes from an ancient style of Chinese calligraphy called Seal Characters so that my designs always go with abstracted lines mix with the geometric, modern structure silhouette and minimal clean-cut look to express the unique beauty of both Oriental and Western women, to make them liberated, sophisticated and powerful. K, [HyungTae Kim]. SS 14 - ON THE RUN at BRIGHTON FASHION WEEK. 8 LOOKS Coming more soon. . E-MAIL klothing@hotmail.com "A/W 2013 Generation." A/w 2013 "The idea of K A/w 13 collection is to explore the sensitive relationship between youth-cultures and parental culture." My concept is to look at the contrasts between the themes of 'Father/Tradition, Youth/rebellious and Uniform/War. What inspired me were the memory and feelings I had when I was an adolescent boy. The memory of trying my Father's clothes is unforgettable. What remains deep inside of me is the feeling of warmth and comfort. To more accurately describe, it was like wearing a very warm blanket in a very cold and lonely winter. This feelings got stronger when I was trying his military jacket. I wanted to deliver that feeling of warmness of oversized khaki fabrics whilst having the adolescent boy's rebelliousness attitude that I had as I grow up, as his jacket getting smaller."Hyung tae Kim’s was also great – it was a very good season.” Backpacks featured strongly in a great deal of collections, particularly in Kim’s who presented low-slung oversized backpacks combined with large, long coats that looked reminiscent of ‘typical’ father’s clothing but with a younger fresher vibe" - Hilary Alexander Academic London College of Fashion 2009 -2012 BA(Hons) FDT Menswear FT Northumbria University 2006-2009 BA(Hons)FDT Fashion Design Foundation Degree Work Experience Reworked [london] 2009 - 2011 [VINTAGE, ARMY CLOTHE REWORKED SHOP] ASSIATANT Diorasa 2007-2008 [Tailor shop] TAILOR ASSISTANT Press: http://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/fashion/catwalk/AW2012/ReadyToWear/london/london_college_of_fashion_-_ba/full-length-photos -http://www.gomoneyways.com/?p=65953 -http://jaci-mag.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/untitled-ss-2013-mens-collection-acne.html -http://www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/2012/live/ -http://disordermagazine.com/lcfs-upcoming-talent/style/ -http://www.flickr.com/photos/53179772@N06/7490122378/ -http://fashionstyleology.com/hyung-tae-kim-k-aw-2013-lcf-ba-show/ -http://blogs.fashion.arts.ac.uk/snapshot/2012/06/29/last-night-in-shoreditch/ -http://nowfashion.com/28-06-2012-london-college-of-fashion-2012-part-1-live-event-event-2256.html -http://www.tatler.com/bystander/events/2012/june/london-college-of-fashion-graduate-show#/7516/image/25 - http://www.catwalking.com/ -http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/autumn-winter-2012/ready-to-wear/london-college-of-fashion-ba/page/7# -http://www.fashion156.com/collections/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-show-2012/ Contact.
