SS/13 - Look 4 - Formin - Model: Annie from Storm Models - Top + Illustration by Holley Potts

Holley Potts BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear http://showtime.arts.ac.uk/HolleyPotts WEBSITE: www.holleypotts.com holley.potts@hotmail.co.uk As a designer, I feel that most art forms should be integrated with practicality and this should also apply to fashion. SS/13 - Combining Fashion Illustration with Fashion Design. Looking at Marching Cubes (a computer generated algorithm) and contrasting this with nature and old cartoon sketches formed my illustrations. Designing a set of five tops; same cut, different fabric, I overlaid my illustrations on top to synchronise these together. ± SS/13 COLLECTION TOPS + ILLUSTRATION - Holley Potts PHOTOGRAPHY - Tamzin Haughton HAIR + MAKEUP - Scarlett Burton STORM MODEL - Annie Walker-Trafford STYLIST - Elle Baron VIDEOGRAPHER - Calvin Hayes ± AW/13 - Researching how chemical substances were originally used medicinally, but now widely taken for recreational use, I looked at today’s underground music scene. Taking inspiration ranging from the early Opium Dens. The vivid hues of the high and the dark greys of the lows gave me a colour distortion which is reflected in my silk digital prints. ± AW/13 COLLECTION LOOKBOOK PHOTOGRAPHY - Tamzin Haughton HAIR + MAKEUP - Marie Bruce MODEL - Rachel Christianos STYLIST - Rita Shi ± AW/13 COLLECTION LINE UP PHOTOGRAPHY - Hanna Hillier HAIR + MAKEUP - Amber Pitkin MODEL - Amber Pitkin ± INTERNING Richard Nicoll May 2012 - July 2012 Giles Deacon November 2011 - March 2012 Selfridges: Marketing Department July 2007 - August 2007 ± ACHIEVEMENTS The Shoreditch Fashion Show 2013 Photography by Vytautas Dranginis ± FEATURED Zeum Magazine - http://zeum-mag.com/2014/04/13/keep-you-head-in-the-clouds-by-sarah-louise-stedeford/ Binzento - http://www.binzento.com/2014/02/art-georgia-in-paris-continues.html?spref=fb Zeum Magazine - http://zeum-mag.com/2014/03/12/loveluck-by-sophie-mayanne/ Fashion Strikes - http://blog.fashionstrikes.com/2013/12/02/holley-potts/ Chasseur Magazine - http://chasseurmagazine.com/2013/10/23/chasseur-webditorial-misa-simon-by-matt-lain/# Bright Young Things 2013 - http://www.clothesshowlive.com/page.cfm/link=130 W Magazine - http://weareselecters.com/2013/04/holley-potts-aw13-collection/ Kaltblut Magazine - http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/april-illyj-and-pipa/ Coco Magazine - http://issuu.com/cocomagazine/docs/sept1coco Nou Magazine - http://www.noumagazine.com/you-say-ball-i-say-lets/ The Mark Magazine - http://www.themarkmag.com/marktorial/no-67-modernised-mod/ The Savy Dresser - http://thesavvydresser.wordpress.com/interview/

Past : Present - collection // Photography: Agnes Lloyd-Platt. Art Direction: Lily Silverton. Model: Vanessa Jobb (Premier).

MA Fashion and the Environment

Anja is a sustainable designer and researcher currently undertaking a fully-funded PhD at the University of Brighton. The title of her research is: 'The Future Shape of Design: a toolkit for designing longer-lasting material experiences'. ‘Seam Decoder’ is a project commissioned by Kate Fletcher as part of Local Wisdom where user interaction becomes meaningful way of proactively experiencing resourceful fashion. The ongoing applied doctoral research is a continuation of these investigations to enable designers to shape their own practice towards longer-lasting material experiences. Anja's MA work explores garment life-extension also in ‘Past:Present - Material Manifestations of Memory’, a collection inviting the wearer to co-create the garments with hair embroidery as embodied memories. This project is aimed at finding forms of fashion design and consumption that are meaningful, personal and sustainable. The title is derived from a T.S. Eliot poem containing the lines: “Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future, and time future contained in time past” The past is made explicit in the garments, while what we wear is an expression of our present selves and who we wish to be in the future. As we remember experience over ‘stuff’, clothing becomes a material manifestation of our memories. And by allowing the wearer to ‘manifest’ their own experiences into the garments i.e. through human hair embroidery, life is breathed into them: they become personal and meaningful. The garments are made from organic silk hand-dyed with tea+iron (grey), organic cotton and salvaged materials. http://studioanglindo.wordpress.com anjaccrabb [at] gmail [dot] com

Irregular Choice SS'14 Look Book I Photographer: Kiarash Fattahi I Retoucher: Lakila Henry

FdA Fashion Styling and Photography

I would describe my work as opulent and charismatic. Disney villains and culture inspire me, plus I like to make fun out of what is deemed to be fashionable. I’m more of a creative than a stylist as I can not only customise but also make clothes. I also experiment with millinery and footwear; I’m also a self-taught retoucher. What makes me different is that I’ve mastered separating my personal style to what a client wants. I also can take someone’s vision and help elevate it through my quirkiness and strive for perfection. I’m always looking to collaborate. 'Fool's Gold' Famille Blondeau

MA Fashion Footwear

‘Fools Gold’ COLLECTION MOTIVATION Pere Lachaise Cemetery, Paris, France For a long while I wanted to create a collection inspired by Pere Lachaise, Paris, France. Initially, I wanted to design and dedicate each pair of footwear to a famous residence at the cemetery for example, Frederic Chopin, Eugene Delacroix, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde etc.  However, after several visits I started to realise that I was more attracted to the abandoned and decaying graves and mausoleums.  Whilst, most of the tourists would flock to all the famous graves, I started to think more and more about the abandoned sites.  Somehow I wanted to pay homage to the forgotten people at Pere Lachaise.  The people whose graves no longer get visited by friends, family or loved ones because their lineage had now ceased at some point.  It made me think about the value we find in things. That no matter how precious or valuable we may find something, nature will eventually find a way to erase all traces of it.  This corrosive effect nature has on the grave’s materials such as the wood, lime stone or metal, most visitors to Pere Lachaise may find repellent, but I wanted to celebrate all the beauty I see in it. Each design is named and dedicated to the grave site which influenced it. The collection was entirely handmade by Michael using traditional footwear construction techniques. COLLECTION MATERIALS Leather/Copper/Brass The metals used on the heels and uppers were Brass or Copper which were then treated with an accelerated aging process. Fragment Look 5, Fur sponsored by Saga Furs, Zip sponsored by Lampo Italy, Photography: Giovanni Mantins, Model: Gregory France

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear

JEEGUI"FRAGMENT" A 14/15 autumn/winter season collection: investigating the concept that is ‘FRAGMENT’, representing an incomplete human development and fragmented memories of human history, through different texture, fabric and diagonal pattern cutting. ‘FRAGMENT’ in futuristic modern society is a representation of seeking traditional and primitive authenticity within humanity that we lost, against the lifestyles of modern society, which is lacking freedom, sameness or uniformity by large-scale manufacturing. In this collection, key fabrics are fur against showing with metallic silver leather and high tech bonded fabric. Basically, fur symbolizes the human authenticity from primitive and folk imagery, so that the fur in the collection is combined and crafted with futuristic fabric. It is a strong hybrid type of collection. Guyhyun is a menswear designer, who studied at London College of Fashion BA Menswear.
