My work focuses on the ideal that music and fashion are closely related and highly influence each other. Today, fashion is foremost and leads style trends in music, with the majority of contemporary music stars being fabricated and manufactured. The true rock star has become obsolete. Through researching one of my ultimate icons, David Bowie, I have become attracted to the significance of identity and the creation of alter egos to provide escapism from reality.
